How to set up Sherpa

Overview

  • Starshipit is now integrated with Sherpa in Australia & New Zealand.
  • Sherpa offers On Demand delivery solutions including 2-hour, 4-hour and Same-day, 7 days a week till 9pm within Australia & New Zealand cities.
  • Sherpa is available as a Domestic Courier option when shipping from Australia & New Zealand.

Before you begin

To integrate with Sherpa you'll need to have your Sherpa Username and Password available. If you don't have these credentials, please contact your Sherpa account manager or email the Sherpa team.

Enable Sherpa

To enable Sherpa as a Domestic courier in Australia or New Zealand:

  1. In Starshipit, navigate to Settings > Couriers > click Add a new courier.
  2. Click Sherpa from the list of Domestic Couriers.
  3. Tick Enable Sherpa.
  4. Enter your Sherpa Username and Password.
  5. Click Save.

Once you've entered and saved these details click Test to ensure it works to confirm that your integration is correctly set up.

Select your vehicle type

Sherpa have 3 vehicle options to choose from:

  • Car
  • Motorbike/Scooter
  • Van

By default this is set to Car.

You can select the vehicle type you'd like to use (your most common Vehicle Type) by going to Vehicle Types > Select the required option from the Vehicle Types list. Then click Save.

This can't be changed in an order so any changes to your selected Vehicle Type will need to be done here.

Add your product codes

Finally, add the product codes you'd like to use for Sherpa by going to:

  1. Add product codes section > Click Add a new product code.
  2. Enter the Code and Name for the product code.
  3. If the product code should be your default, tick the Default checkbox.
  4. Click Save.

Configure additional settings

You can configure additional settings in the Advanced Settings tab. Settings that can be configured are:

  • Leave unattended (if no one available)
  • Specified Recipient
  • Alcohol (18+)
  • Prescription Meds (18+)
  • Tobacco (18+)
  • Use generic description for all items
  • Send Tracking SMS to recipient

Cancel orders

You can now cancel Sherpa labels that have been printed in Starshipit.

How to cancel an order

  1. Navigate to Settings > Couriers > Sherpa Settings.
  2. Move to the Tools tab.
  3. Under Cancel a Shipment, enter the tracking number of the order you would like to cancel.
  4. Click Cancel to confirm.
