As of 11 January 2026, Sendle is no longer accepting new parcel bookings. If you're a Starshipit customer using Sendle, we recommend switching to another courier as soon as possible to keep your orders moving. Starshipit supports a wide range of carriers, including plug-and-play options like Australia Post MyPost Business and Aramex, which are fast to set up and require no contracts or minimum volumes.   • Sendle’s integration with Starshipit allows you to use all of Starshipit's features including generation of packing slips and shipping labels, auto-correction of addresses, branded tracking and notifications, and many more.
  • Starshipit supports shipping with Sendle from the following regions:
    • Australia: Both international and domestic shipping
    • USA: Both international and domestic shipping
    • Canada: Domestic and cross border to USA
  • Note: Sendle requires a separate account (and set of API keys) for each shipping location. In Starshipit, you'll need to create new child accounts for each location (US/Canada/Australia) and integrate each unique set of API keys into its respective Starshipit account.

What you need to get started

Before getting started with Sendle you will need a few things:

  • Set up an account with Sendle
  • Your Sendle ID
  • Your Sendle API key

If you are missing any of these credentials read Sendle's Guide on generating an API key.

How to set up Sendle

To enable Sendle on your Starshipit account:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Couriers > Add New Courier > Sendle.
  2. Select Enable Sendle.
  3. Select Enable New API
    We recommend using the new Sendle API as this supports all of Sendles products, shipping internationally when shipping from Australia as well as shipping domestically from US and Canada
  4. Enter in your Sendle ID and Sendle API Key.
  5. Click Save.

You will then need to set up your product codes. To add a product code:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Couriers > Add New Courier > Sendle.
  2. Click Add a new product code.
  3. Enter in your product code (described below).
  4. Click Add.

Additional features

Same day pickup : If using Sendle Express, you may wish to organise same-day pickup. By default, Sendle will pick up the parcel the next business day. To enable same-day pickup, tick Enable Same-Day Pickup for Sendle Express in your Sendle settings. If the order is shipped before 12 PM, Sendle will pick up the order on the same day.

Cancelling Orders : You can cancel an order in your Sendle Starshipit settings. Go to Settings > Couriers > Sendle > Tools > Enter the tracking number you would like to cancel.

SKU on label : You can enable SKU on labels for Sendle. This is mapped to the ref field on the label that is currently used for order number. You can enable this from Sendle advanced settings.

Pickups : Once you've printed a Sendle label, a job will be booked in the Sendle system. This automatically triggers a next-day pickup. Please note, that different drivers pick up domestic and international orders so if shipping both shipments you will need to keep the packages separate for pickup.

International : International is currently only supported for origin Australia shipments. Sendle doesn't yet service all of Australia for international. For a full list of suburbs, see here.

Size Category : If coming from Sendle dashboard, you will notice Starshipit doesn't have Sendle size categories. These are not required when booking through Starshipit. As long as you enter in the correct dimensions and weights, this will be selected automatically by Sendle when you click print.

Pickup Instructions : If you have specific instructions that you would like to be sent to the courier driver for picking up your packages. This can be configured from Settings > Couriers > Sendle > Advanced > Pickup Instructions. This will be sent to Sendle when you print your labels and they book the pickup on their end.

Update orders

Sendle's integration with Starshipit allows you to make updates to orders in bulk. For orders that end up in the Printed tab, you can change the order status to transfer them to the Shipped tab.

How to update orders

  1. In Starshipit, navigate to the Printed tab.
  2. Select all the orders that should be updated.
  3. Click on Update status in the top menu.
  4. Under the dropdown menu, select Shipped.
  5. Click Update.

Cancel orders

You can now cancel Sendle labels that have been printed in Starshipit.

How to cancel an order

  1. Navigate to Settings > Couriers > Sendle Settings.
  2. Move to the Tools tab.
  3. Under Cancel a Shipment, enter the tracking number of the order you would like to cancel.
  4. Click Cancel to confirm.
