How to set up Asendia

Step-by-step guide to setting up Asendia.

Connect Asendia to Starshipit to create shipping labels and track international parcels from Australia. Asendia specialises in cross-border e-commerce delivery through their E-PAQ product range.

Before you begin

To connect Asendia to your Starshipit account, you need these credentials from Asendia:

  • Username
  • Password
  • OAuth Client ID
  • OAuth Client Secret
  • Tracking Access Key
  • Tracking API Key

If you are testing first, confirm with Asendia whether you should use their UAT (test) environment.

Set up Asendia in Starshipit

  1. In Starshipit, go to Settings > Couriers > Add a new courier.
  2. Choose Australia as your shipping origin.
  3. Select Asendia from the International courier list.
  4. Tick Enable Asendia.
  5. If Asendia gave you test credentials, tick Use UAT environment.
  6. Enter your Username and Password.
  7. Enter your Client ID and Client Secret.
  8. Enter your Tracking Access Key and Tracking API Key.
  9. Click Save.

Your Asendia integration is now connected. You can verify the connection by creating a test shipment.

Add product codes

Asendia shipments require a product code. Add the product codes enabled on your Asendia account in the Add Product Codes area.

Common Asendia product codes include:

Code Description
E-PAQ Standard Economy international delivery
E-PAQ Plus Standard international delivery with tracking
E-PAQ Select Premium international delivery
E-PAQ-SELECT-2 Premium international delivery (variant)
E-PAQ Elite Express international delivery

If a product code is missing, contact Asendia to confirm it is enabled for your account.

Customs declarations

Asendia supports full customs declarations for international shipments, including HS codes, declared values, reason for export, and incoterms (DDP, DAP, and others). Make sure your orders include accurate customs information to avoid delays at the border.

Limitations

  • Asendia does not return live shipping rates in Starshipit.
  • Only one package per order is supported. Split multi-item orders into separate shipments if needed.
  • Returns, insurance, signature on delivery, and authority to leave are not available through this integration.

Troubleshooting

I can't save my Asendia settings?

Check that every credential field is filled in, then try saving again. If the issue continues, confirm with Asendia that your credentials are active and match the selected environment (UAT or production).

Labels are not generating?

Check that:

  • Asendia is enabled in your courier settings.
  • Your selected product code is available on your Asendia account.
  • The shipment contains only one package.

Tracking is not updating?

Confirm your Tracking Access Key and Tracking API Key are correct. If tracking still does not update, contact Starshipit support with the tracking number and consignment ID.
