> Step-by-step guide to setting up DHL eCommerce asia pacific.

* DHL eCommerce Asia Pacific's integration with Starshipit allows you to generate packing slips and shipping labels, send branded tracking notifications, generate live rates at checkout and writeback tracking to your chosen platform.
* This article outlines how to set up [DHL eCommerce Asia Pacific](https://www.dhl.com/global-en/microsites/ec/ecommerce-insights/about-dhl-ecommerce.html) as a courier service in Starshipit.

## Before you begin

You'll need the following:

* DHL eCommerce Asia Pacific account numbers (Pick Up and Sold To)
* DHL eCommerce Asia Pacific Dispatch ID
* Product codes

If you don't have these credentials, please contact your DHL account manager to request this. Alternatively, you can contact our support team [here](https://help.starshipit.com) with your DHL eCommerce Asia Pacific account number and we can request credentials on your behalf.

## 1. Add your DHL eCommerce Asia Pacific details in Starshipit

1. In Starshipit, navigate to **Settings** > **Couriers** > **Add a new courier**.
2. Select that country you are shipping from in the drop-down.
3. Select **DHL eCommerce Asia Pacific**.
4. Tick **Enable DHL eCommerce Asia Pacific**.
5. Complete the fields **Pick Up No**, **Sold To No** and **Prefix Code** with your details.
6. Select **Use the API to generate labels and manifests**.
7. Enter your **Pick up** and **Sold To** numbers.
8. Click **Save**.
## 2. Set up your product codes

Add your product codes to complete the integration.

1. Click **Add a new product code**.
2. Fill in details as required.
3. Click **Add**.

## Live quotes for shipments

Starshipit supports displaying live quotes for your DHL eCommerce shipments using DHL eCommerce's technology "Gemini". These quotes will be based on your rate card with DHL eCommerce. This is enabled on all DHL eCommerce shipments automatically.

## Advanced settings

#### Generate Customs Invoice

You can generate a commercial invoice for your DHL eCommerce Asia Pacific international shipments. To enable this feature:

1. Navigate to **Settings** > **Couriers** > **DHL eCommerce Asia Pacific** > **Advanced**.
2. Tick **Generate Customs Invoice for International Orders**.
3. Click **Save**.
#### Default Handover Methods

You can set the default handover method when you manifest orders for DHL eCommerce.

If you see an error message "Shipment(s) not allowed for handoverMethod - 2", under the dropdown options, select the **Drop-Off** option then click **Save**.

####

#### Ensure the order number is incorporated into the tracking number

DHL eCommerce can adjust the tracking number/shipmentID used, which is useful for matching shipments sent with DHL eCommerce to the original order number. The format for this adjustment will be:

```
<yourDHLshippingprefix> + ordernumber + 00 (padded to 9 characters)
```

To activate this feature on your account:

1. Go to **Settings** > **Couriers** > **DHL eCommerce Asia Pacific**.
2. Check the box for **Use OurRef for the ShipmentID**.
3. Press **Save**.
