# How to set up Kiwi Oversize

Starshipit integrates with Kiwi Oversize for domestic shipping in New Zealand, designed for freight that exceeds standard size or weight limits of traditional courier services. This carrier is ideal for large, heavy, or awkward items requiring specialised handling that cannot be sent through standard courier networks.

## Before you begin

To integrate with Kiwi Oversize, you'll need to have your:

* Kiwi Oversize Account Number
* Client ID and Client Secret

If you don't have these credentials, please contact your Kiwi Oversize account manager.

## Enable Kiwi Oversize in Starshipit

To enable Kiwi Oversize as a courier in New Zealand:

1. In Starshipit, go to **Settings** > **Couriers** > **Add a new courier**.
2. Click **Kiwi Oversize** from the list of couriers (If Kiwi Oversize isn't showing, ensure you have selected New Zealand as the **Shipping From** option).
3. Tick **Enable Kiwi Oversize**.
4. Enter your Kiwi Oversize **Account Number, Client ID and Client Secret**.
5. Click **Save**.

## Available product codes

Kiwi Oversize currently provides one product code option:

* oversize (Oversize)

This service is designed for large, heavy, or irregular freight that cannot be sent through standard courier networks.

## Add your product codes in Starshipit

To add the product codes you'd like to use for Kiwi Oversize follow these steps:

1. Go to **Settings** > **Couriers** > **Kiwi Oversize**.
2. Scroll down to the **Add product codes** section > click **Add a new product code**.
3. Enter the **Code** and **Name** for the product code (refer to the sidebar for codes).
4. If the product code should be your default, tick the **Default** checkbox.
5. Click **Save**.

## Label formats

You can configure label formats for outbound and return labels when using Kiwi Oversize.

* **NotSet**  
  No default format applied
* **FreThermal**  
  Standard 4x6 thermal label format
* **A4**  
  A4 sheet format for printing multiple labels per page
* **FreThermal174x100**  
  Thermal format with 174x100 mm dimensions

To configure label formats:

1. Go to Settings > Couriers > Kiwi Oversize > Settings
2. Scroll to the **Label Formats** section.
3. Select the required formats.
4. Click **Save**.
## Configure Advanced Settings

If required, you can also update your Advanced Settings for Kiwi Oversize.

The available Advanced Settings are:

* **Signature Required:** Default all orders to 'Signature
  Required'.
* **Saturday Delivery:** Default all orders to 'Saturday Delivery'.
* **Send Notifications:** Automatically send notifications
  for all orders. The default state of this option is determined by your
  settings.
* **Notification Type:** Choose between Email or SMS notifications
  when **Send Notifications** is enabled.

## Cancel a shipment

To cancel a shipment, enter the tracking number into the **Cancel a Shipment** field under the **Tools** tab and click **Cancel**.

## Rates not Showing

Please ensure that the same credentials, Client ID and Client Secret, have not been setup by Kiwi Oversize team for more than 4 accounts at a time. Contact your account manager with the carrier to discuss further and obtain new credentials for accounts.
