## Retrieve your API credentials

1. Log into the [Direct Freight Portal](https://www.directfreight.com.au/dispatch/Login.aspx).
2. Click the **Developer Centre** link at the bottom of the page.

3. On the next screen, **Click register**, then A**ccept the terms and conditions**. You will be taken to this screen:

4. Choose the above options and in the comments box write “Starshipit”. This allows Direct Freight to know that you are requesting the credentials for us.
5. From there, Direct Freight will send you the credentials. Once you receive them, follow [this guide](/articles/couriers/direct-freight/how-to-set-up-direct-freight) to integrate your Direct Freight account into Starshipit.
