How to set up Border Express

Border Express is Australia's interstate transport and distribution company with a strong regional network, providing door-to-door express and customised logistics services.

Starshipit's integration with Border Express allows you to use all of Starshipit's features including generation of packing slips and shipping labels, auto-correction of addresses, branded tracking and notifications and many more.

This article outlines how to set up Border Express as a courier service in Starshipit.

Before you begin

If you don't already have an account please reach out to the Border Express sales team, click here.

To setup Border Express you need your: 

  • Paying Account Code (Account Number)
  • Consignment Prefix
  • Client ID
  • Client Secret

If you are missing any of these credentials, please contact integrations@borderexpress.com.au with your Paying Account Code. You should then receive:

  • An email confirming that your request has been submitted. You will receive your Consignment Prefix in this email.
  • A subsequent email will be sent requesting you to generate your API credentials by clicking the activation link within the email.
  • The activation link will redirect you to the Border Express website which will display your Client ID and Client Secret.

Setting up your Border Express account in Starshipit

1. Enter your Border Express credentials in Starshipit

  1. Go to Settings > Couriers > Add Courier > Border Express.
  2. Check the Enable Border Express checkbox.
  3. Fill in your Client ID, Client Secret, Paying Account Code, and Consignment Prefix
  4. Click Save.

2. Set up your product codes

To complete the integration between Starshipit and Border Express, you need to add your product codes.

  1. Go to Settings > Couriers > Add Courier > Border Express.
  2. Click on Add product code.
  3. Enter the product code and the product name.
  4. Click Save.
  5. Repeat 1-4 for each product code you would like to add.

The available product codes are:

Parcel

Parcel or carton freight, typically a B2B service.

BLK

Bulk

Bulk palletised freight.

ECM

eCommerce (single piece)

B2C individual items only.

MEC

eCommerce (multi piece)

B2C multiple items.
