How it works
When you print a label in Starshipit, the order moves to the Printed tab. Manifesting orders is an important step as failure to do so can result in fees from your courier. Not all couriers require manifesting. To check whether a courier requires manifesting, refer to this guide here.
Starshipit features several options for manifesting, which we've covered below.
Auto manifest orders
You can set Starshipit to manifest your orders automatically. Choose one, multiple, or all your couriers to include in the auto manifest process. This is fully compatible with all couriers supported by Starshipit.
- Go to Settings > Couriers in your Starshipit account.
- Select the couriers you want to include.
- Enable the option to auto-manifest for child accounts (if applicable).
- Click Save to activate Auto Manifest.
Notes:
- Auto-manifest runs overnight, typically around 1am NZT.
- Auto-manifest will apply to any orders in your printed tab, NOT archived or already manifested orders (See below).
- We recommend checking printed orders for any errors which may occur.
Manifest select orders
- In Starshipit, navigate to Orders > Printed tab.
- Select the orders you'd like to manifest using the checkbox column.
- Click on Manifest orders in the top menu.
- Click on Manifest.
Manifest all orders
- In Starshipit, navigate to Orders > Printed tab.
- Click on Manifest all on the top right.
- Click on Manifest.
Use the Manifest page
Choose between dispatching specific shipments or dispatching all shipments for a selected carrier using the Manifest page.
- In Starshipit, navigate to Manifest.
- Click New Manifest
- Under Dispatch shipments, copy either your tracking numbers or order numbers into the field.
- Click Dispatch Shipments
Tip: Use Dispatch all to select a carrier to dispatch all shipments currently awaiting dispatch.
Download manifest report
- In Starshipit, navigate to Manifest.
- In the Downloads column, click on Report to download the file.

Troubleshooting
My carrier says my shipments weren’t manifested, but I can’t find them in the Shipped tab. What happened?
Explanation:
- In Starshipit, orders may be moved to the Archived tab after being shipped without being properly manifested. This often occurs when orders are printed but not included in a manifest sent to your carrier.
Why this happens:
- Starshipit moves orders to the Archived tab after they are shipped. However, if these shipments weren’t included in a manifest, your carrier won’t recognise them as fulfilled.
- Without the manifest, the carrier may assume the shipments were not processed correctly, resulting in additional charges or fees.
Solution:
- Double-check the Archived tab or search for the order using the tracking number to locate these shipments. If the order has been archived, you'll need to restore the order before manifesting it.
- Ensure that all printed orders are manifested before shipping.
