# Merge multiple orders into one order

Merge unprinted orders when you want to send their items together under one shipping order.

Merges made with the older merge workflow cannot be undone or reimported. In the current Orders page, a newly merged parent can be unmerged while it and its source orders remain unprinted. Check for **Unmerge** on the merged order before relying on this option.

#### 1. Select the orders you would like to merge

* Go to **Orders** > **New**.
* Select two or more orders you would like to merge.

#### 2. Select parent order and merge

* With the orders selected, click the **Actions** drop-down menu (in the top right of the orders grid) then **Merge Orders**.
* In the **Merge Orders** box, select the parent order from the drop-down menu then click **Merge**.
* Your orders will be merged into one order with the order reference number of the parent order.

#### 1. Select the orders you would like to merge

* Go to **Orders** > **New**.
* Select two or more orders you would like to merge.
* Select **Merge orders**.

#### 2. Select the main parent order to merge all other selected orders to

## Unmerge before printing

If **Unmerge** is available on the merged parent order, open that order, choose **Unmerge**, and confirm. This restores the source orders to your new orders. The action is unavailable after the merged order or a source order has been printed or dispatched.

## Check tracking in each source system

When you print a merged shipment, Starshipit queues tracking writeback for source orders that contain shipped items. Check the resulting fulfilment and tracking on each connected source order. The exact status and partial-fulfilment behaviour depends on that integration.
