If you're looking to set up live rates at checkout, please refer to our support guide for detailed instructions.

Setting up Customised Rates

To customise your shipping rates:

  1. Access the Customise Rates page
Navigate to Settings > Customise Rates > Select Add new carrier rates.
  2. Modify display name
You can change the display name for any carrier service.
  3. Set Margin Amount and Type
Choose between a flat amount margin, percentage margin or setting a flat rate (overriding price returned from the courier) to adjust your rates.
  4. (Optional) Add a Condition
Select an option from the dropdown such as Shipping Zone to only apply the customised rate when the condition applies.
  5. Apply margin to the following child accounts
From the drop-down, select specific accounts you would like this margin to apply to
  6. Save your settings
Once saved, these settings will apply automatically to your rates.
Note

Example Let's say you modified the service code 7B05 for Australia Post to have a flat margin of$10.00. If the original rate was$5, the new rate displayed within an order will be$15.

Hiding a courier service

If you wish to hide a specific courier service from being displayed:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Customise Rates > Select Add new carrier rates.
  2. Select the Service
Choose the service you want to hide.
  3. Enable the Hide Product Option
This will prevent the selected service from appearing in the rates list.

Apply customised rates to your child account(s)

To customise rates for your child accounts, you have three options:

  1. Apply parent account settings across all child accounts
When this setting is enabled, all customised rate settings configured in the parent account will automatically apply to each child account. This means any rate customisations made within individual child accounts will be overridden by the parent account settings.
    • Standardised Rates Across Locations
If you’ve customised rates in the parent account to ensure consistency, for example, across multiple warehouses or stores, enabling this setting will apply those same rates across all child accounts. This ensures a unified experience for your customers, regardless of the child account.
    • Overriding Specific Customisations
If you've customised rates in "Child Account A" but have this setting enabled, the child account will ignore its local customisations and instead display rates as set in the parent account.
  2. Customise rates for specific child accounts
If you want to apply specific rate customisations to one or more child accounts, use the "Apply margin to the following child accounts" option when customising your shipping rates.
  3. Applying different customised rates for child accounts
You can apply unique customised rates per product code at the child account level. When customised rates are configured directly in a child account, they will override any rates inherited from the parent account.

Important considerations

While the new settings page offers powerful customisation options, there are a few limitations to be aware of:

Carrier Name Modification
The carrier name itself cannot be changed. However, service names can be modified.

Margins and zero-dollar rates

Margins are not applied to rates that return as $0. Carriers often return $0 when a service is unavailable, and adding a margin to these rates could mistakenly indicate the service is available.

Viewing margin details in reports

You can generate a Shipping Price Report to see both base rates and margin rates for each order. This information is available in the "Margin" column of the report.

Pricing visibility for 3PL child accounts

For 3PL child accounts, the pricing breakdown is not visible. Only the total shipping price is displayed.
