## Enable rates at checkout on your eCommerce platform

To get rates from Starshipit (flat or live) to show on your checkout, you'll need to [enable rates at checkout](/articles/rates-at-checkout/set-up-guides/about-live-rates-at-checkout-supported-couriers) on your eCommerce platform first.

## Enable free shipping for orders over a certain value

Display free shipping for orders over a certain value (e.g. $100):

1. Navigate to **Settings** > **Checkout Rates** > **Rules**.
2. Select **Add a new rule**.
3. Select **Condition(s)** > **Order Value** > **Greater Than** > (Enter your order value, for example, $100. Note, that this needs to be entered as 10,000 when using Shopify).
4. Select **Action** > **Set Checkout Rates**.
5. Select **Value** (Choose your courier from the dropdown).
6. Select **Free Shipping**.
7. Click **Return this item only**.
8. Click **Save**.

## Offer free shipping for standard orders over a certain value, but offer live rates for express

1. Ensure you have enabled both the standard and express service from **Settings** > **Advanced Courier Configuration**.
2. Select **Add a new rule**.
3. Select **Condition(s)** > **Order Value** > **Greater Than** > (Enter your order value, for example, $100. Note, this needs to be entered as 10,000 when using Shopify)
4. Select **Action** > **Set Checkout Rates**.
5. Select **Value** (Choose your standard courier from the dropdown).
6. Select **Free Shipping**.
7. Do not tick – **Return this item only**.
8. Click **Save.**

## Offer free shipping for orders over a certain value, and use live rates for orders below this value

If you’d like to offer free shipping for orders over a certain value (e.g. $100), but display live rates for orders below $100, here’s how to set it up:

#### Step 1: Set up live rates at checkout

1. Navigate to **Settings** > **Checkout rates**.
2. Click **Courier Configuration**.
3. Click **Enable advanced setting view**.
4. Click **Contract Rates** next to your courier.
5. Enable the services you’d to display rates for.
6. Change the name, add margins, estimated transit times and any other relevant details.

#### Step 2: Enable free shipping for orders over a certain value

1. Navigate to **Checkout Rates** > **Rules**.
2. Select **Add a new rule**.
3. Select **Condition(s)** > **Order Value** > **Greater Than** > (Enter your order value, for example, $100. Note, this needs to be entered as 10,000).
4. Select **Action** > **Set Checkout Rates**.
5. Select **Value** (Choose your courier from the dropdown).
6. Select **Free Shipping**.
7. Click **Return this item only**.
8. Click **Save**.
