Overview

PBT Transport is a New Zealand domestic freight network, offering a range of shipping solutions for businesses. By integrating PBT Transport with Starshipit, you can automate your shipping workflow, including order imports, label generation, and tracking updates. This integration allows you to manage your shipping directly within Starshipit, reducing manual data entry and improving efficiency.

What you need to get started

• Your PBT Transport account number.
• Your PBT API key. If you do not have this, contact PBT Transport to request API access for integration with Starshipit. Alternatively, reach out to Starshipit support, and we can assist with this process.
• Your default package type (see available package types below).
• Hire Account Number (Required only for certain package types):
  • CHEP Pallet, CHEP Plastic Pallet, and CHEP M3 Pallecon require a CHEP Account Number.
  • Loscam Pallet requires a Loscam Hire Type Account Number.
• If you are using other package types, the Hire Account Number is not required.

How to set up PBT Transport

1. In Starshipit, navigate to Settings > Couriers > Add a new courier > PBT Transport.
2. Enter your PBT Transport account number.
3. Enter your PBT API key.
4. Select your default package type from the list.
5. (Optional) If using CHEP Pallet, CHEP Plastic Pallet, CHEP M3 Pallecon, or Loscam Pallet, enter your Hire Account Number.
6. Click Save.
7. Set up your PBT Transport services by adding a product code. PBT doesn't require specific product codes so you can enter anything here that makes sense to you.  
   • Click Add a new product code. For example: PBT Transport
   • Enter the product code and name. For example: PBT Transport Service. 
   • Click Add.
