Return Label Generator: Can the return product code be influenced by rules?

Question

When using the Return Label Generator on the Branded Tracking Page can the product code used for the label returned be influenced by rules?

In reports I would like to be able to identify an outbound shipment vs a return shipment when the return has been generated via the Return Label Generator.
