# Merge orders with Suggested Merges

**Merge Suggestions** displays our recommendations for orders you should combine because they share the same destination address. Merging is a smart way to consolidate shipments and cut costs.

Merges made with the older merge workflow cannot be undone or reimported. New merges made in the current Orders page can be unmerged while the merged parent and its source orders remain unprinted. Check whether **More actions > Unmerge order** is available on the merged parent before relying on this option. ## How it works

**Displaying Suggested Merges**

1. Sign in to your Starshipit account.
2. Ensure [you are on UI 2.0](/articles/getting-started/how-to-guides/switching-between-classic-ui-and-ui-2-0)
3. On the main order grid, select **SUGGESTED MERGES**. **![MicrosoftTeams-image (16).png](/uploads/articles/orders-manifests-reports/faqs/suggested-merges/image_7954897760015.png)**
4. Starshipit will reload the grid and display whether you have any orders that share a destination and therefore could be merged.

**Merging a single group**

1. Each alternating row color indicates orders belonging to the same suggested merge group.
2. To merge a group, tick the orders in the same row group.

3. Select **Merge** on the right-hand side.
4. In the pop-up dialog, **choose the parent order**.

5. Select **Merge**.
6. These orders are now combined and removed from the suggested merges group.

**Merging many merge suggestions in one go**

If you have multiple suggestions, you can bulk-merge orders.

1. Select all groups to merge or use the checkbox in the top left to select all orders.
2. Click **Merge All.**

(Note: When merging multiple orders at once, Starshipit will automatically select the oldest order as the parent.)
