# Connect eBay to Starshipit

## Integrate eBay

1. Close all browsers that you have open for eBay, this will ensure the link between Starshipit & eBay is set up correctly. This is especially important if you are adding multiple eBay stores.
2. In [Starshipit](https://app2.starshipit.com/), navigate to **Settings** > **Integration**
3. Click on **Add a new integration** and select eBay from the list.
4. Click on **Authorize**. You will be directed to the eBay login page.
5. Log in with your eBay credentials.
6. Click **Authorise**, and you will be redirected to Starshipit.
7. You have now completed the eBay integration.

## Troubleshooting

#### **I don't have a .com.au eBay account.**

You can select the country of origin of your eBay account. Go to **Advanced Settings** and select your country.

#### **The item descriptions are not coming through properly in Starshipit**

Starshipit will import the eBay Item Description, but if you are not using it you can use the Title instead. To do this go to **Advanced settings**, tick **Use the title for product description,** otherwise it will default to the description column.

## Configure eBay settings

During setup, authorise eBay, complete these settings, then save the connection. You can update them later from the eBay integration settings:

| Setting | What it controls |
| --- | --- |
| **Enable eBay** | Turns the eBay connection on or off. |
| **Name** | Identifies the eBay store in Starshipit. |
| **Session** | Stores the eBay authorisation session created during connection. You normally do not enter this manually. |
| **Token** | Stores the eBay authorisation token. You normally do not enter this manually. |
| **Status to import** | Limits imports to the eBay order statuses you enter. Separate multiple statuses with a semicolon. |
| **Status to set** | Sets the eBay order status when Starshipit writes back a shipment. |
| **Target site** | Selects the eBay site associated with this store, such as Australia or the United States. |
| **Use the title** | Uses the eBay item title as the product description instead of the item description. |
| **Update status for check** | Updates the eBay status when you use the order-check workflow. |
| **Import buyer checkout message** | Includes the buyer's checkout message in the imported order. |
| **Import buyer username as reference** | Uses the buyer's eBay username as the Starshipit order reference. |
| **Generate unique tracking number on writeback** | Creates a unique tracking number for Plain Label and Pickup In Store shipments when the tracking number is blank. |

Click **Save** after changing settings, then click **Test connection** to verify the connection.
