How to set up Urgent Couriers

Overview

We’re excited to announce that Starshipit is now integrated with Urgent Couriers!

  • Urgent Couriers is one of New Zealand’s largest specialized on-demand courier services, recognized for fast, premium delivery both domestically and internationally.
  • They offer a range of point-to-point services in Auckland, from 15-minute express deliveries to same-day economy runs.
  • As New Zealand’s first carbon-neutral courier service, Urgent Couriers is a sustainability leader, setting the benchmark for eco-friendly transport across the country.

Before you begin

To connect Urgent Couriers with your Starshipit account, you’ll need your:

  • Urgent Couriers Username
  • Urgent Couriers Password

If you don’t have these credentials, please contact your Urgent Couriers account manager.

Set up Urgent Couriers

  1. In Starshipit, go to Settings > Couriers > Add a new courier.
  2. Select New Zealand from the Shipping From dropdown menu.
  3. Choose Urgent Couriers under the New Zealand Domestic section.
  4. Tick Enable Urgent Couriers.
  5. Enter your Urgent Couriers Username and Password.
  6. Select the Label Size you want for your shipments.
  7. Click Save to confirm your integration details.

Adding product codes

Finally, add the product codes you’d like to use for Urgent Couriers:

  1. Navigate to the Product Codes section.
  2. Click Add New Product Code.
  3. Enter the Code (SpeedID) and Product Name. For example:
    • Code: 20 | Product Name: 45 Minutes
    • Code: 75 | Product Name: 75 Minutes
    • Code: 24 | Product Name: 90 Minutes
    • Code: 1 | Product Name: 1 Hour
    • Code: 25 | Product Name: 2 Hours
    • Code: 4 | Product Name: 3 Hours
  4. Click Add to save the product code.

Note

Urgent Couriers refer to the product code as SpeedID.

If you'd like a product code set as your default, make sure to tick the Default checkbox before saving.

FAQs

Does Urgent Couriers support multi-package shipments?
Yes, Urgent Couriers supports multi-package shipments/orders.
Are shipments created in Starshipit scheduled for pickup by Urgent Couriers?
Yes, all shipments created through Starshipit are considered pickup jobs.
Urgent Couriers offer Van, Bike, and Truck deliveries. How do I specify the vehicle type for my shipment?
Currently, this option isn’t supported through Starshipit. By default, the system will book the shipment as a car job based on the package details.
Can I book an overnight service?
Yes, you can book an overnight service if it’s enabled for your account.
I use the Urgent Couriers app at checkout. Can I generate labels for jobs created through their app?
No, at this time, you can only generate labels for jobs created through Starshipit. If you attempt to create a label for a job initiated via the Urgent Couriers app, it will be treated as a new job. We recommend excluding these orders from import into Starshipit to avoid duplicates.
