TNT: Dangerous Goods

Overview

  • Starshipit supports sending dangerous goods with TNT.
  • Prior to shipping, you'll need to add get approval from TNT to ship dangerous goods.
  • You can set which orders contain dangerous goods using the tag TNT-DGS. This tag can be set on your orders manually, via rules or the API.
  • You will need to attach a Dangerous Goods Declaration Form to your shipment. At this point, Starshipit does not support generating Dangerous Goods documentation for TNT. TNT has a Dangerous Goods declaration that customers can complete and attach to their shipment.

Adding the TNT-DGS tag in Starshipit

To ship dangerous goods with TNT all you need to do is tag your order with TNT-DGS. To do this, you’ll need to set up the tag in your Starshipit settings.

  • Navigate to Settings > Tags > Add new > Enter TNT-DGS then click Add.

You can now apply this tag to orders containing Dangerous Goods. There are multiple ways to apply this tag to an order, you can do so manually in the orders grid, with the use of a rule or via the API.

Assigning tags to an order

Before you get started, you will first need to enable the tags column on the orders grid.

In the Orders grid, click the plus icon in the tags column. From here you can add the TNT-DGS tag and then click apply.

You can bulk assign tags from the orders grid by selecting all the orders you want to update, selecting Add or Remove Tags from the action menu, and then entering (or removing) the tags you'd like to apply.

You can also apply tags within individual orders. When you open the order, in the bottom right you will see a section for tags where you can add or remove any tags.

You can assign tags to an order via rules. You can check out our guide here.

You can also assign tags to an order via the API. Head to our developer centre to learn more.
