Choose a ready-made packing slip layout, then customise it with the shipment and item details your team needs. The three templates below are available as A4 portrait presets in UI 2.0's new custom editor and as downloadable Excel files. ## Choose a preset in UI 2.0 1. Go to **Settings > [Packing slips](https://next.starshipit.com/settings/packing-slip)** and select **New custom template editor**. 2. Select **A4 portrait** as the template size. 3. Under **Preset template**, choose **Basic A4 template**, **Invoice A4 template** or **Pick and Pack A4 template**. This replaces the unsaved draft and sets its printable area. Use **Discard** to restore the last saved layout if needed. 4. Update or remove the company name and website URL placeholders, then customise the layout. 5. Select **Save**. Reopen the editor to check the saved layout, then print a packing slip for an existing order to check the page fit and populated fields. The preset name is not retained after reopening; your saved layout is. Presets do not apply to packing summaries, other paper sizes or orientations, or Classic templates. Download your template. 2. In Starshipit, go to **Settings > Packing Slips**, then click **Configure your Packing Slips here**. 3. Under **Select your packing slip template**, select **Customise using template editor**. 4. Under **Select your template size**, set the **Template size**, **Start area**, and **End area** shown for the template you downloaded. 5. In the template editor window, click the **folder icon** and select the `.xlsx` file you downloaded. Click **Save Template** below the editor window to save the template. 7. Click **Download Sample** to preview the layout with sample data. 1. Download your template. 2. In Starshipit, go to **Settings > Packing Slips**. 3. Select **New custom template editor**. 4. On the **Packing slip tab**, under **Select your template size**, set the **Template size**. 5. Under **Printable area**, enter the **Start area** and **End area** for your selected template. 6. In the template editor window, click **File**, then click the **folder icon** and select the `.xlsx` file you downloaded. Click **Save**. 8. Click **Download preview** at the top of the page to preview the layout with sample data. ## Check the imported template Reopen the editor to confirm the layout, template size and printable start/end cells. Print a packing slip for an existing order and check the page fit, item rows and variable values. If the layout is clipped, compare its printable area with the cells listed above. Yes. You can use Excel or Google Sheets to create your own template and upload into the template editor following the steps above. Can I save multiple templates? Only one packing slip template can be saved in Starshipit at a time, but you can export and save templates and re-upload when needed. Yes. You have two options: * Replace it with a parameter that's more relevant to your needs, or * Remove the column entirely To replace a parameter: 1. Select the cell you want to replace 2. On the right side of the editor, double-click the new parameter you'd like to use This will replace the selected cell with the new value. To remove a column: 1. Select the column you want to remove 2. Click the dropdown arrow in the top-right of the editor 3.
