Use a connected USB scale to apply the actual package weight while you pack and print an order.

## Before you begin

[Set up USB scales](/articles/6530818242831-set-up-usb-scales) and confirm the Desktop Print Application shows the scale as **Connected**.

## Weigh and print the package

1. Pack the order and place the complete package on the scale.
2. Open the order in Starshipit.
3. Click **Get Weight** in the bottom-left of the order.
4. Confirm the package weight updates to match the scale.
5. Review the selected package and courier service.
6. Click **Print**.
