> Configure Peoplevox print templates and control how Starshipit selects couriers and creates packages for Peoplevox orders.

Configure the labels, couriers, and package behaviour used when Peoplevox despatches an order through Starshipit.

## Before you begin

[Connect Peoplevox to Starshipit](/articles/360000934795-peoplevox-integration) before configuring this workflow.

## Create print templates in Peoplevox

1. In Peoplevox, switch to the **Setup** view.
2. Select **Print Templates**.
3. Select **DespatchPackage** for outgoing labels and commercial invoices, or **Returns** for return documents.
4. Click **Search**, then open the template you want to use.
5. Set **Registered template name** to the applicable document type:
   - `Outgoing label`
   - `Commercial invoice`
   - `Returns label`
   - `Returns commercial invoice`
6. Click **Save**.

## Add templates to the carrier connection

1. Switch to the **Integration** view in Peoplevox.
2. Open **Carrier Integration**, select Starshipit, then click **Edit**.
3. Under **Document Types**, enter a name and select the corresponding print template.
4. Set **Reference** to the exact applicable value listed above.
5. Click **Save**.

Start with the outbound label and test it before adding the other document types.

## Set default couriers

Starshipit automatically generates labels when orders are despatched in Peoplevox, so each order needs a courier and product code.

1. In Starshipit, go to **Settings > Couriers**.
2. Select default domestic and international couriers.
3. Open each default courier and select a default product code.
4. If required, use [shipping rules](/articles/notifications-branded-tracking-rules-child-accounts/business-rules/rules-based-on-shipping-method) to select different couriers or services.

## Configure package creation

Go to **Settings > Integrations > Peoplevox** and select the package behaviour that matches your workflow:

- **Create package using item weights from Peoplevox order** creates one shipment using weights from the Peoplevox despatch items.
- **Create packages using package details from Peoplevox orders** creates packages from the names and dimensions sent by Peoplevox.

When using Peoplevox package details:

- A Peoplevox package name matching a Starshipit package uses the Starshipit dimensions.
- An unmatched package name uses the dimensions sent by Peoplevox.
- A package without a name uses the default Starshipit package dimensions.

To combine packages into one shipment, enable **Consolidate multi-packages into one shipment**. Starshipit waits until `totalPickedItems` matches `totalDespatchedItems`, then generates the labels.

## Verify the configuration

Despatch a test order that uses your expected package and courier. Confirm Peoplevox receives the correct label and tracking number.
