> Add, edit, delete, import, and export reusable contacts and delivery preferences in the Starshipit Address Book.

Set up the Starshipit Address Book to save frequently used contacts, addresses, delivery instructions, and shipping preferences.

## Before you begin

You need permission to modify the **Address Book** area. A saved contact can include:

- Name, company, email, and phone number.
- Delivery address and instructions.
- A code used to find the contact.
- A default carrier and signature-required preference where supported.

## Add a contact

<!-- tabs:start -->

<!-- tab:Classic UI -->

1. Select **Address Book**.
2. Select **Add New**.
3. Enter the contact and address details.
4. Add an optional **Code**, delivery instruction, carrier, or **Signature Required** preference.
5. Select **Save**.

<!-- tab:UI 2.0 -->

1. Select **Address Book**.
2. Select **Add new**.
3. Enter the contact and address details.
4. Add an optional **Default code**, **Default carrier**, delivery instruction, or **Signature required** preference.
5. Select **Save changes**.

<!-- tabs:end -->

Starshipit validates the address before saving it in UI 2.0. Check any highlighted required fields or address suggestions if the contact does not save.

## Edit or delete contacts

<!-- tabs:start -->

<!-- tab:Classic UI -->

1. Select **Edit** beside a contact.
2. Update the details, then select **Save**.
3. To remove contacts, select their checkboxes and then select **Delete Selected**.

<!-- tab:UI 2.0 -->

1. Open the action menu beside a contact and select **Edit**.
2. Update the details, then select **Save changes**.
3. To remove contacts, select their checkboxes and then select **Delete**.

<!-- tabs:end -->

:::warning
**Delete all addresses** permanently removes every contact and cannot be undone. Export a backup first if you might need the contacts again.
:::

## Import or export contacts

Use **Import from CSV** or **Export to CSV** in Classic UI. In UI 2.0, open **More actions** to find both options.

For column mapping and CSV limits, see [Import contacts into your Address Book from CSV](/articles/115002321486-import-contacts-into-your-address-book-from-csv).

## Verify your Address Book

Search for a saved contact by name or code, then confirm its address and delivery preferences are correct.

To use a saved contact on a live order, see [Use an Address Book contact on an order](/articles/90200000000512-use-an-address-book-contact-on-an-order).
