# Packing only workflow

> Pack, validate, and print labels in the Pick & Pack mobile app when picking happens separately or nearby.

Use the packing only workflow when items arrive at a packing bench already picked, or when stock is close enough that packing and picking happen in one place.

## Before you begin

Make sure your packing bench has cartons, satchels, tape, labels, and a connected printer. Open the Starshipit Pick & Pack app and go to the **Packing** tab.

## Open the order

1. Receive picked items in totes, on carts, or with printed pick slips.
2. Use filters, saved views, or search to find the order.
3. Scan the order barcode, scan the tote ID, or select the order from the list.

The order details screen shows all items and quantities expected in the shipment.

## Validate items as you pack

1. Tap the **barcode icon**.
2. Scan each product as you move it into the carton or satchel.
3. Scan GS1 barcodes when you need to capture batch, expiry, or serial details.
4. Pack only the available items if the order needs a partial shipment.

## Set packaging and parcels

1. Tap the **packaging** section and choose the right box or satchel.
2. Tap the **courier/service** section and choose the service for the shipment.
3. Scan package barcodes if the order needs multiple cartons.

These details are sent back to Starshipit so labels reflect the correct packaging and number of parcels.

## Complete packing

1. Capture photos of packed goods if your workflow requires proof of packing.
2. Tap **Complete packing** or the ship-and-print action.
3. Attach the printed label to the carton.
4. Move the carton to the dispatch area.

## Verify the shipment

Check that the label printed correctly, the order has moved out of the packing queue, and the shipment details are visible in Starshipit.
