# FedEx troubleshooting

Use these checks when FedEx registration, service selection, or image upload fails in Starshipit.

## Internal Service Error during authentication

This error can appear when your FedEx street address is too long. FedEx requires the street address to be fewer than 35 characters.

1. Go to **Settings > Pickup address**.
2. Shorten the street address so it is fewer than 35 characters.
3. Save the address.
4. Go to **Settings > Couriers > FedEx**.
5. Try registration again.

## FedEx Economy does not appear

If `FEDEX_INTERNATIONAL_ECONOMY` does not return on orders, use `INTERNATIONAL_ECONOMY` as the product code instead.

After updating the product code, create or open a test order and check that the expected FedEx Economy service appears.

## Unexpected Error when uploading an image

If you see an **Unexpected Error** message when uploading a signature or letterhead image, check that sandbox mode is disabled.

1. Go to **Settings > Couriers > FedEx**.
2. Untick **Use Sandbox URL**.
3. Save your FedEx settings.
4. Upload the image again.
