> Create FedEx return labels and configure invoice declaration, duty, tax, and sold-to address options.

Use FedEx returns and customs options when you need to create return labels or add extra commercial invoice details for international shipments.

## Returns with FedEx

You can generate a FedEx return label from an outbound shipment. FedEx return labels are not supported in the branded returns portal.

1. Go to the **Printed or Shipped** tab.
2. Select the order you want to generate a return for.
3. Go to **More actions > Create a return order**.
4. Check the shipment details.
5. Print the label or email it to the sender.

## Invoice declaration statement

Use rules when you need to add invoice declaration text only in certain scenarios.

1. Go to **Settings > Rules > Create a new Rule**.
2. Select the condition that controls when the text should apply, such as destination country.
3. Select **Set Invoice Declaration Text** as the action.
4. Enter the declaration text.
5. Click **Save**.

## Duty and tax account number

You can set a dedicated duties and taxes account number for FedEx international shipments. This account number is used when **Delivered Duty Paid** is flagged, so duties are billed to the specified account.

1. Go to **Settings > Couriers > FedEx**.
2. Tick **Delivered Duty Paid**.
3. Enter the duty and tax account details.
4. Click **Save**.

You can also set the **Duty and Tax account type** to **Seller**, **Recipient**, or **Third Party**.

## Sold-to address

Use a sold-to address for FedEx International Ground shipments when FedEx needs buyer details in the shipment request and on the commercial invoice.

1. Go to **Settings > Options > Additional Parties Customs > Add new**.
2. Select **Buyer** as the party type.
3. Add the sold-to address details.
4. Add a duties and taxes account number for the sold-to address if required.
5. Click **Save**.

When you process FedEx International Ground shipments, Starshipit sends the saved sold-to address details to FedEx.

## Verify customs settings

Create or open a test international order and generate the label documents. Check that the return, invoice declaration, duty and tax, or sold-to address details appear as expected.
