Connect Bascik to Starshipit to create New Zealand domestic bulky freight labels, show live rates, and track shipments. This guide explains what you need from Bascik and how to add the courier to your Starshipit account.

## Before you begin

To connect Bascik to Starshipit, you need:

* Bascik account ID
* Webnotes API username
* Webnotes API password
* Default goods type, if Bascik gave you one
* Connote prefix, if Bascik gave you one
* Product or goods-type codes, if you want to filter rates by service

If you do not have these details, contact your Bascik account manager.

## Set up Bascik in Starshipit

1. In Starshipit, go to **Settings** > **Couriers** > **Add a new courier**.
2. Select **New Zealand** as the shipping from country.
3. Select **Bascik**.
4. Tick **Enable Bascik**.
5. Enter your **Account ID**, **Username**, and **Password**.
6. Enter a **Default Goods Type** if Bascik supplied one.
7. Enter a **Connote Prefix** if Bascik supplied one. If you do not enter a prefix, Starshipit uses `SSI`.
8. Click **Save**.

Your Bascik integration is now connected. You can verify the setup by creating a test shipment.

## Add product codes

Bascik uses goods type codes as Starshipit product codes. Add the goods type codes supplied by Bascik in the **Add Product Codes** area.

Common goods type codes include:

| Code | Description |
| --- | --- |
| `ITEM` | Item |
| `PALLET` | Pallet |
| `CARTON` | Carton |
| `PIECE` | Piece |

If you add product codes, Starshipit can use them to filter rates to the matching Bascik goods type.

## Limitations

* Bascik supports domestic shipments within New Zealand.
* International shipping and returns are not supported through this integration.
* Bascik labels print as 100 x 150 mm PDF labels.
* A separate manifest step is not required.
* Bascik supports up to six goods rows per consignment. Starshipit maps one goods row per package.

## Troubleshooting

**No rates are showing?**

Check that:

* The order is a New Zealand domestic shipment.
* Your Bascik credentials are correct.
* The sender and receiver address details are complete.
* The account has a Bascik rate table for the destination.
* Product or goods-type codes match the Bascik configuration for your account.

**Labels are not generating?**

Check that Bascik is enabled, the required address and contact fields are complete, and package or goods details are entered.

**Tracking is not updating?**

Bascik tracking uses the tracking number returned when the shipment is booked. You can also track a Bascik shipment at `https://online.bascik.co.nz/Public/Track/?id={trackingNumber}`.
