> Configure NewStore webhooks to request shipping offers and book shipments through Starshipit.

Configure NewStore to request shipping offers and book shipments through Starshipit. NewStore sends requests to Starshipit's webhook endpoints rather than using scheduled order imports.

## Before you begin

- Have administrator access to the Starshipit account and access to configure delivery webhooks in NewStore.
- Get your Starshipit API token from **Settings > [API](https://next.starshipit.com/settings/api)**. Keep it private, like a password.
- Set up the couriers and product codes you want NewStore to offer in Starshipit. Check that each required service is enabled on the courier account and can create labels.
- Confirm the sender address and pickup location for the account identified by the API token.

## Open the NewStore setup instructions

In **UI 2.0**, go to **Settings > Integrations > [Add a new integration](https://next.starshipit.com/settings/integrations/add)** and select **NewStore**. The page provides webhook setup instructions. Continue with the configuration in NewStore; there is no **Enable** checkbox or **Save** button on this page.

If an automatic-enablement error appears when opening NewStore from **Add a new integration**, try opening it from that list again. Contact Support if the error persists.

## Configure the webhooks in NewStore

1. Open NewStore's webhook integration setup for delivery options and shipment booking.
2. Configure these two endpoints, using `POST` for each:

   | NewStore action | Starshipit endpoint |
   | --- | --- |
   | Shipping offers | `https://newstore.starshipit.com/api/integrations/newstore/v1/shipping_offers` |
   | Book shipment | `https://newstore.starshipit.com/api/integrations/newstore/v1/shipments` |

3. Set the `Authorization` header on both requests to your Starshipit API token. A raw token or `Bearer <token>` is accepted. Starshipit uses the token to identify your account.
4. Optionally include an `X-Request-ID` header so your integration team can trace a request.

Use the shipping-offers endpoint to retrieve delivery choices and the shipments endpoint to book the chosen service.

## Verify the connection

1. Request shipping offers from NewStore for an eligible delivery.
2. Check that the expected courier services and prices are returned.
3. When you are ready to create a real shipment, book the chosen service from NewStore with at least one item and the required package details.
4. Find the corresponding order in Starshipit and check its selected service, tracking details and label information.

Booking a shipment can create a chargeable courier label. Confirm the courier connection can create labels before testing the booking flow from NewStore.

## How the integration works

Starshipit checks the addresses, deliverables, ready-by time and available courier services, then returns shipping offers sorted by price. Offers expire after 15 minutes.

When NewStore books a shipment, Starshipit creates or finds the matching order, creates the shipment and label, then returns tracking and label information to NewStore. If the same external order ID is sent again, Starshipit attempts to use the existing order rather than create another order.

Shipment cancellation through a NewStore cancellation webhook and advanced or bulk manifest workflows are not supported by this integration.

## Troubleshooting

### No shipping offers are returned

Check that:

- The API token belongs to the intended Starshipit account.
- Sender and receiver addresses are complete and use valid country codes.
- The offer request contains at least one deliverable and a valid ready-by time.
- The required courier services and rates are available for that account and route.

### Shipment booking fails

Check that:

- The external order ID and booking method are supplied.
- The request contains at least one item and the required package details.
- The selected courier service can create a label in Starshipit.
- Both addresses include a first name, last name, address line 1, city, country code and postcode or zip code.

Check whether the matching Starshipit order or label was created before retrying an uncertain result. Reuse the same external order ID when retrying the same booking.
