# Set up Castle Parcels

Castle Parcels is now integrated with Starshipit in New Zealand. Castle Parcels offer an Express economy nation-wide courier service with tailor-made solutions for specific industries throughout New Zealand. Through alliances with other Freightways Group companies, Castle Parcels delivers a complete package offer. This integration allows you to use all of [Starshipit's features](https://www.starshipit.com/features) including generation of packing slips and shipping labels, auto-correction of addresses, branded tracking and notifications and many more.

## Before you begin

To integrate with Castle Parcels you'll need to have your Castle Parcels Account Number, Client ID and Client Secret available.

If you don't have these credentials please contact your Castle Parcels account manager or [contact Castle Parcels via email or phone](https://www.castleparcels.co.nz/contact_us.html).

## Enable Castle Parcels in Starshipit

To enable Castle Parcels as a courier in New Zealand:

1. Navigate to **Settings** > **Couriers** > click **Add a new****courier**.
2. Click Castle Parcels from the list of couriers.
3. Tick **Enable Castle Parcels**.
4. Enter your Castle Parcels **Account Number, Client ID and Client Secret.**
5. Click **Save.**

Once you've entered and saved these details click **Test to ensure it works** to confirm that your integration is correctly set up.

## Available product codes with Castle Parcels

NZ Couriers via Starshipit can be set up with two different product code types:

**Overnight Delivery**

Overnight is the standard service offering for Castle Parcels. It can be used anywhere in New Zealand as long as NZ Couriers offers pickups and deliveries in that area.

**Two Day Delivery**

Two Day delivery is offered as an economy service for inter-island shipments. This means in Starshipit you will only see pricing for Two Day, if you have pricing loaded on your Castle Parcels account, and the shipment is inter-island (e.g. sending from Auckland to Christchurch)

## Add your product codes

Finally, add the product codes you'd like to use for Castle Parcels by going to:

1. **Add product codes** section > Click **Add a new product code**.
2. Enter the **Code** and **Name** for the product code.
3. If the product code should be your default, tick the **Default** checkbox.
4. Click **Save**.

## Advanced settings

If required you can also update your Advanced Settings for Castle Parcels.

The available Advanced Settings are:

* **Signature Required:** Select this option to default 'Signature Required' on all orders.
* **Saturday Delivery:** Select this option to default 'Saturday Delivery' on all orders.
* **Send Notifications:** To automatically send notifications for every order, enable the "Send Notifications" option. When dispatching orders, ensure the "Send Notifications" checkbox is selected. The default state of this option is determined by your settings preference.
* **Notifications Type:** When send notifications is ticked, what type of notifications should be sent? Note that Freightways may incur additional charges for SMS notifications.

## Configure Castle Parcels settings

In addition to the credentials and defaults above, Castle Parcels provides:

| Setting | What it controls |
| --- | --- |
| **Format for outbound labels** | Sets the paper size and layout Starshipit uses for labels on customer deliveries. Choose the option that matches your printer. |
| **Format for return labels** | Sets the paper size and layout for labels included with return shipments. Choose the option that matches your printer. |
| **Signature Required** | Adds signature-required delivery to eligible shipments by default. |
| **Saturday Delivery** | Requests Saturday delivery by default when the selected service supports it. |
| **Send Notifications** | Requests Castle Parcels tracking notifications for shipments created in Starshipit. |
| **Notification Type** | Sets whether the receiver is notified by email or SMS. Freightways may charge for SMS notifications. |
| **Mixed Packaging** | Lets one shipment include different package types when Castle Parcels supports it. |
| **Validate Receiver Address** | Checks the receiver's delivery address before it is sent for booking, so you can correct problems before a label is created. |

These options are saved with the Castle Parcels courier settings. Check the label and notification result on a test shipment before enabling defaults for all orders.
