# Set up NZ Post Express

> Connect NZ Post Express to Starshipit after setting up NZ Post Domestic.

Set up NZ Post Express in Starshipit to create Express shipments. You must connect NZ Post Domestic first, because Express uses that connection.

## Before you begin

- Request commercial access to the NZ Post API. Follow [Request commercial access to use NZ Post with Starshipit](/articles/couriers/nz-post/request-commercial-access-to-use-nz-post-with-starshipit) if you do not already have access.
- Have your NZ Post **Account Number**, **Client ID**, and **Client Secret** ready.
- Set up NZ Post Domestic before continuing.

This process only needs to be completed once if you are setting up all three services in Starshipit and using the same account number for all three.

## Connect NZ Post Domestic

1. Go to **Settings** > **Couriers** > **Add a new courier** > **NZ Post Domestic**.
2. Select **Enable NZ Post Domestic**.
3. Enter your **Account Number**, **Client ID**, and **Client Secret**.
4. Click **Save**.

## Connect NZ Post Express

1. Go to **Settings** > **Couriers** > **Add New Courier** > **NZ Post Express**.
2. Select **Enable NZ Post Express**.
3. Enter your **Account Number**.
4. Click **Save**.

## Configure NZ Post Express settings

NZ Post Express uses the NZ Post Domestic connection. Set up NZ Post Domestic first, then configure these Express settings.

| Setting | What it does |
| --- | --- |
| Enable NZ Post Express | Turns Express shipments on after NZ Post Domestic is connected. |
| NZ Post Express Account Number | Identifies the Express account. |
| Test to ensure it works | Checks the saved Express account details. |
| Display Customer Logo on labels | Adds the uploaded customer logo to Express labels. |
| Pickup Instructions | Adds instructions to the Express pickup request. |
| Opt out of Express notifications | Stops the sender email and receiver phone from receiving the GPS tracking link for the Express job. |

## Verify the connection

Use **Test to ensure it works** after saving the Express account details. Then create or open a test order, select NZ Post Express, and confirm the service is available before printing a label.
