> How to create rules in Starshipit based on the weight of an order to allocate a specific courier.

You can create rules in Starshipit based on the weight of the order. Starshipit can use this information to allocate a specific courier and product code. For example, you want to use a different carrier service if the weight is above 12kg.

## How to set up a rule based on weight

1. In Starshipit, navigate to **Settings** > **Rules**.
2. Click **Add a new rule**.
3. Under **Conditions** select **Order Weight**.
4. In the drop-down menu, select which comparison operator you want to use and then the value.
5. Under Actions, select **Set** **Courier & Product Code**.
6. Select the courier and product code to be used in the rule.

### Limitations

The rule based on weight are set-up for every order and you are not able to exclude a part of this order.
