> Learn how to set up and process returns with Starshipit, including manual labels, returns from existing orders, and automated return labels.

Starshipit offers four ways to handle returns. Choose the option that fits your workflow — from a fully automated self-service portal to manual one-off labels.

## Option 1: Self-service branded returns portal

Let customers generate their own return labels through a branded portal on your domain. This is the most automated option and requires the Returns add-on.

This feature is available as an add-on for an additional $20 per month for Starter and Professional plans. Learn how to [set up a branded returns portal](/articles/returns/branded-returns-portal/set-up-branded-returns-portal).

## Option 2: Create a return label manually

1. In Starshipit, navigate to **Orders**.
2. In the top right, click **Create order**, then select **Create a return order**.
   * The sender address (i.e. the warehouse) is where the shipment is being returned to.
   * The receiver address (i.e. the address of the customer) is the address the product is being sent from.
3. Fill in the required fields and choose the courier service.
4. Print or email the label.

## Option 3: Print a return label from an existing order

1. In Starshipit, navigate to **Orders**, then select the **Shipped** tab.
2. Open the order that you want to create a return label for.
3. Click **Create a return order**, then click to confirm.
4. You will be taken to a page with the return shipment details. You can download, email, or print the label from here.

## Option 4: Automate return labels with each outgoing shipment

Automatically create a return shipment with each outgoing shipment you process through Starshipit.

:::note
Once an order is printed or shipped, it cannot be edited. Refund payments must be handled separately from the Starshipit return portal.
