## About changing your pricing plan

When you first register with Starshipit, you'll receive a 30-day free trial that gives you access to all features (except child accounts). If you decide to continue past your free trial period and [select a paid plan](https://starshipit.com/pricing), you'll be charged a monthly or annual subscription fee depending on the plan you select. When you choose a plan you'll be billed straightaway for the plan duration.

Starshipit allows you to change between plans at any time. You can upgrade, downgrade, switch from monthly to annual, or annual to monthly at any point you'd like.

* If you downgrade, you'll be credited pro rata any credit you may accrue from the downgrade.
* If you upgrade, the current value will be deducted from the cost of the upgrade.

Any remaining pro-rata credit will remain in your Starshipit account for you to use at a later date. Unfortunately, we're unable to refund you any credit you have that may reside in your Starshipit account.

## Enter your payment method

If you are signing up for a plan for the first time you will need to add a payment method before choosing a plan. We accept payments via VISA, MasterCard, AMEX and PayPal. We do not support Afterpay.

2. Navigate to **Settings,** then select [My Account](https://app.starshipit.com/Members/Settings/MyAccount.aspx).

## Choose a new pricing plan

2. Navigate to **Settings,** then select [My Account](https://app.starshipit.com/Members/Settings/MyAccount.aspx).

4. Select a [pricing plan](https://starshipit.com/pricing), and choose to pay on a monthly or annual basis.
5. Click **Update your Plan**.
6. Click **Proceed to Checkout**.
7. Add your account and payment details.
8. Once the payment is complete, your plan should now be updated.

If you enter your card details and you're currently on a trial plan with trial days remaining, these will be added to your chosen plan.

## Upgrade your pricing plan

If you’re nearing your monthly shipment limit, we’ll notify you via email and in-app. If you exceed your limit, you have two options:

1. Pay per-label overage fees – Additional labels will be charged based on your plan:
   * **Starter**: $0.15 per additional label
   * **Professional**: $0.10 per additional label
   * **Enterprise**: Contact sales for custom pricing
2. Upgrade to a higher-tier plan – Increase your shipment volume and gain access to additional features.

You can manage your plan and review pricing details in your account settings at any time.

## Reviewing your plan ahead of peak season

During peak season (e.g. Black Friday/Cyber Monday), you may find that your shipping demands increase significantly. During this period, many businesses find themselves exceeding their monthly label quotas due to higher order volumes. If your label volume exceeds the limit set by your current plan, it may result in delays and disruptions in your shipping operations, impacting your ability to fulfill customer orders on time.

By reviewing and adjusting your plan ahead of peak season, you can ensure that you have the right capacity to handle the increase in shipments. This proactive step helps you avoid unexpected issues and ensures that your operations run smoothly throughout this critical period. If needed, you can easily upgrade your plan following the steps provided in the [Choose a new pricing plan](#h_01HMYHWFD10DGW5DADQWASR8FM) section to accommodate your growing shipping needs.
