Use the Quotes page in UI 2.0 to compare available carrier services and rates without creating an order first. When you find a suitable option, you can use the quote to create an order.

## Before you begin

Make sure the relevant carriers are connected and configured in your Starshipit account.

If you want to reuse package details in a quote, [set up saved packages](/articles/206705413-set-up-packages-and-import-weights-and-dimensions) before you begin.

## Compare carrier rates

1. Select **Quotes** from the main menu on the left.
2. Enter the destination address.
3. Select the correct address from the autocomplete suggestions where available.
4. Add the package details for the shipment.
5. Add each package separately if the shipment contains multiple packages. You can select from your saved packaging.
6. Request the available rates.
7. Compare the carrier services and rates returned for the shipment.

The services and rates shown depend on your connected carriers, carrier account settings, and the shipment details you enter.

## Create an order from a quote

1. Find the quote you want to use.
2. Select the option to create an order.
3. Review the destination and package details carried over from the quote.
4. Add any remaining order information.
5. Save the order.

Creating an order from a quote means you do not need to enter the destination and package details again.

## View recent quotes

The Quotes page keeps a history of your recent quotes in your browser. Use this history to return to a previous comparison without entering all the shipment details again.

Quote history is stored in your browser. It may not appear on another computer or browser, other users may not see the same history, and clearing your browser data may remove it.

Carrier rates can change. Request a new quote if the shipment details have changed or you need the latest available rates.

## Troubleshooting

### No rates are returned

Check that:

- The destination address is complete and valid.
- Each package has a weight and any required dimensions.
- The relevant carrier is connected and configured.
- The carrier supports the destination and package details.
- Any required carrier services are enabled.

Update the shipment details, then request the rates again.

### A saved package is not available

Check that the package has been saved in your Starshipit account. If you recently added or updated it, refresh the Quotes page and try again.

### Recent quotes are missing

Recent quotes may not be available if you:

- Use another browser or device.
- Use private or incognito browsing.
- Clear your browser data.
- Have browser storage disabled.

Return to your usual browser or request a new quote.
