> Refresh matching item data on an unprinted order or all unshipped orders using your saved Product Catalogue settings.

Apply saved Product Catalogue data to orders already in Starshipit when you need to fill missing customs details or correct item information. You can update one unprinted order or run the catalogue across all active unshipped orders without removing and reimporting them.

## Before you begin

- Use **UI 2.0** and an account with Product Catalogue access.
- Have permission to modify **Orders**. You also need the appropriate settings access if you change the catalogue policy.
- [Update the catalogue products](/articles/1781620000001-add-and-manage-products-in-the-product-catalogue) first. Each product's SKU must match the SKU on the order.
- Save any changes to the order and [Product Catalogue settings](/articles/1781620000002-configure-product-catalogue-settings), and make sure the catalogue is enabled.

Review the confirmation before applying. **Only populate missing values** keeps populated item values. **Override all values** can replace manually entered item data with catalogue values. Your saved empty-or-zero safeguard and US cost-price setting also apply.

## Apply the catalogue to one order

1. Open an active, unprinted order in **[Orders](https://next.starshipit.com/orders)**.
2. Select **More actions > Apply product catalogue to this order**.
3. Check the displayed fill-missing or overwrite policy.
4. Select **Apply product catalogue**.
5. Read the result, including matched and unmatched item counts, then select **Close**.
6. Check the refreshed item values before printing.

The action saves the catalogue changes and refreshes the order. It can be used on an eligible unprinted saved order as well as a new order.

## Apply the catalogue to all unshipped orders

This updates **all active unshipped orders in the account**, rather than a selection from the Orders grid. Saved, printed and shipped orders are excluded.

1. Open **Settings > [Product Catalogue](https://next.starshipit.com/settings/product-catalogue)**.
2. Save any settings changes.
3. Under **Apply product catalogue to existing orders**, select **Apply product catalogue to all unshipped orders**.
4. Review the saved policy and select **Apply product catalogue**.
5. Check the progress and successful, skipped and failed counts.

The run continues in the background if you leave the page. Return to the settings page to check progress. An unchanged or no-longer-eligible order is skipped; a skipped count does not necessarily mean an error.

## Check the updated orders

Open a representative order and check the fields you intended to change, such as HS code, country of origin, description, item price, weight or dimensions. Check the declared value if item prices changed.

Catalogue application preserves order quantities, existing packages and picking and packing progress. It does not rerun shipping rules, create catalogue products or recalculate the existing packages. Check package dimensions and weight before printing when item measurements have changed.

## Troubleshooting

### No values changed

Check the SKU match, saved catalogue values and fill-missing or overwrite policy. A matched product can leave an order unchanged when its fields are already populated or the empty-or-zero safeguard prevents replacement.

### A run fails or progress is unavailable

A lost progress connection does not mean the run stopped. Return to the settings page to recover its status. If starting the run was not confirmed, trying the start action again reuses an existing active run.

For a failed or interrupted run, review the affected orders and logs before starting another run: some orders may already have changed. If an order changed while the catalogue was being applied, reopen it and check its current state before trying again.

## FAQs

<!-- faq:start -->

<!-- faq:question -->Does editing a catalogue product update existing orders automatically?<!-- /faq:question -->

No. Save the product, then use one of the actions above to apply the saved catalogue data to existing eligible orders.

<!-- faq:question -->Can I run this from Starshipit WMS or an integration?<!-- /faq:question -->

The manual actions are in Starshipit Shipping UI 2.0. Integrations can use the [Orders API catalogue actions](/articles/14700000001007-sync-product-data-with-product-catalogue#apply-catalogue-data-to-existing-orders). This does not add a separate WMS action.
