# Understand WMS integrations

Starshipit WMS works with your Starshipit account and its connected commerce or inventory systems. Choose an integration based on which system owns your products, purchase orders and inventory.

## Understand the available WMS connections

In addition to its core Starshipit account connection, WMS has one direct inventory-system integration and seven commerce connections. A sales channel can still connect to Starshipit for orders and shipping even when it is not listed below for WMS product and inventory synchronisation.

## Understand the integration types

The Cin7 Core direct integration has its own credentials, warehouse mapping and webhook lifecycle inside WMS. It can import Advanced Purchase orders and reconcile the total stock in one mapped Cin7 Core warehouse.

The seven commerce connections use integrations already connected to Starshipit. Product imports and inventory writeback depend on the provider, the source store and the product mapping described in each guide.

Where supported, automatic commerce writeback runs after the WMS stock movement completes. A provider error does not undo the warehouse receipt, pick, shipment, adjustment or stocktake variance. Review failed updates in **System > Process Logs**.

## Before you enable synchronisation

Decide which system is the source of truth for products and inventory. Test a new integration with a small set of products, stock movements and purchase orders before relying on it for live operations.
