Use the filter to switch between **All Jobs** and **My Jobs**, or narrow the list by job type. ![All Jobs showing ready picking, cycle count and replenishment work](/uploads/articles/starshipit-wms/mobile-app/jobs/all-jobs.jpg) ::: ## All Jobs and My Jobs :::mobile-screenshot **All Jobs** shows work you can access, including unassigned jobs you can claim and jobs already assigned to you. **My Jobs** narrows the list to your assigned work and is the best view to use at the start of a shift. Open the filter to switch job lists and select a job type such as picking, packing, shipping, putaway, replenishment, kitting, or cycle count. ![The Jobs filter with All Jobs, My Jobs and job type options](/uploads/articles/starshipit-wms/mobile-app/jobs/job-filters.jpg) ::: :::mobile-screenshot From **Jobs** you can: * **Search and filter** by job type (picking, packing, shipping, putaway, replenishment, kitting, cycle count) * **Claim** an unassigned job and start it immediately * **Release** a job back to the unassigned queue if you can't complete it * **Scan to find** a specific job using its barcode or ID (in scanner mode) Picking jobs can offer **Claim**, **Claim & Tote Pick**, and **Claim & Standard Pick**. Choose the mode that matches how you will organise the run. ![An expanded picking job with claim, tote pick and standard pick actions](/uploads/articles/starshipit-wms/mobile-app/jobs/job-claim-options.jpg) ::: ## Job types in the mobile app | Job type | What it involves | |---|---| | **Picking** | Collect items for customer orders and stage to a packing bench | | **Tote picking** | Pick for multiple orders at once into separate totes | | **Packing** | Verify items, confirm the pack, and print the label for a ready pack job | | **Shipping** | Confirm packaging, the carrier, and the label for a ready shipping job | | **Putaway** | Move received stock from staging to storage | | **Replenishment** | Top up pick faces from bulk storage | | **Kitting** | Collect components and assemble into a kit SKU | | **Cycle count** | Verify and correct stock quantities at a location | ## How pack jobs appear Most outbound mobile work starts on desktop and is then executed on mobile: 1. A desktop user releases the order or creates the batch. 2. WMS creates the **pick job**. 3. After the pick is completed, WMS creates the **pack job**. 4. The mobile user then opens or claims that pack job separately. In the standard flow, completing a pick does **not** automatically move the user straight into packing. The app returns them to the jobs list, where they start the pack job as its own step. :::important WMS Mobile displays pack jobs for a single order only. Pack jobs that contain multiple orders are not shown in the mobile app. Complete those pack jobs in the WMS web app or on the Desktop Packing page instead. ::: ## Jobs you can create on mobile Most jobs are created from the desktop and then appear in the mobile app for execution. However, a few can also be initiated directly from mobile: * **Cycle count jobs** - created automatically when you use **Report Issue** during a pick. See [View inventory, scan locations and adjust stock](/articles/14700000000029-view-inventory-scan-locations-and-adjust-stock). * **Receive PO** - not a job in the traditional sense, but you can initiate and complete a receipt entirely from **More > Receive PO** without a pre-assigned job. * **Inventory adjustments** - submitted directly from **More > Adjust Inventory** without a job being created first. ## FAQ Can I see jobs assigned to other people? **All Jobs** shows unassigned jobs you can claim and jobs assigned to you. It does not show jobs assigned to other workers. If you need to reassign jobs across workers, do that from WMS web. Can I assign pack jobs to other people from the mobile app? The normal mobile workflow is to open or claim already-created pack jobs. Job assignment and reassignment are handled from the desktop when needed. What happens if I close the app mid-job? Progress is saved as each step is submitted. If you reopen the app, your in-progress job will be in My Jobs. In most job types you can pick up where you left off.
