Both putaway and replenishment are movement jobs — you pick stock from one location and confirm where it's going next. The mobile flow is the same for both; the difference is where the stock is coming from and going to.
Both job types require equipment (a trolley or cart). Set your active equipment in Settings > Equipment before starting.
Putaway
What it is: Moving received stock from a staging or receiving location to its final storage location.
Putaway jobs are created after stock is received against a purchase order.
How it works
- Open a putaway job from My Jobs or Open Jobs.
- Go to the staging location shown in the job.
- Scan the source location to confirm you are in the right spot.
- Scan or confirm the product and quantity to pick up.
- Move to the destination location.
- Scan the destination location to confirm placement.
- Submit the putaway line.
Repeat for each line in the job. When all lines are done, the job completes.
Replenishment
What it is: Moving stock from a bulk storage location to a pick face to keep the forward-picking area stocked.
Replenishment jobs are triggered automatically when a pick face falls below its minimum threshold, or they can be created manually from the desktop.
How it works
- Open a replenishment job from My Jobs or Open Jobs.
- Go to the bulk storage location shown in the job.
- Scan the source location and product.
- Pick the required quantity.
- Move to the pick face location.
- Scan the pick face location to confirm you are putting stock in the right place.
- Submit.
The pick face inventory is updated once the job is completed.
Next steps
- Receiving purchase orders on mobile — the step before putaway.
- Replenishment (desktop) — how replenishment rules and thresholds are configured.
