Use the mobile app to pick customer orders directly from the warehouse floor — scanning locations and products to confirm picks without returning to a desk.
Packing is not completed in the mobile app. Once picks are staged to a packing bench, packing continues in the WMS web interface.
How picking works in the app
A few things apply to all pick jobs:
- Equipment — picking jobs require a trolley or cart. Your equipment location is set in Settings > Equipment.
- Scanning or manual entry — depending on your setup, you can scan barcodes to build quantities, use manual +/− buttons, or both.
- Partial picks — if you can't complete the full quantity, you can short-pick a line and continue.
- Report Issue — if something is wrong at a location (missing stock, wrong item, damaged goods), use Report Issue from the pick step. This creates a follow-up cycle count job so the stock can be investigated.
Standard picking
Use standard picking when you are working on a pick job for one or more orders.
How it works
- Open a pick job from My Jobs or Open Jobs.
- Go to the first required location.
- Scan the source location barcode to confirm you are in the right spot.
- Scan the product barcode to build the picked quantity, or use manual quantity buttons.
- Repeat for each location until all items are done.
- Bring the picked items to a packing bench and scan or select the bench to confirm staging.
The job is complete once all picked items have been staged and the app shows the completion screen.
Tote picking
Use tote picking when the job is set up as a tote pick and each order needs its own tote.
Tote picking lets you pick for multiple orders in one warehouse run, sorting items into totes as you go rather than sorting at the bench afterwards.
How it works
- Open the tote pick job in the app.
- Assign a tote to each order — scan each tote barcode and link it to the order it represents.
- Move through the warehouse by location.
- At each location, pick the required items and place each into the correct tote.
- Scan the tote barcode to confirm the item went into the right one.
- Continue until all items are picked and sorted.
The job is complete when all items are placed and you confirm the tote pick. Orders are then passed to the packing workflow.
