> Step-by-step guide to setting up Kiwi Oversize.

Connect Kiwi Oversize to Starshipit for domestic New Zealand freight that exceeds standard parcel size or weight limits. This guide explains how to connect the account, choose label formats, and set shipment defaults.

## Before you begin

To integrate with Kiwi Oversize, you'll need to have your:

* Kiwi Oversize Account Number
* Client ID and Client Secret

If you don't have these credentials, please contact your Kiwi Oversize account manager.

## Set up Kiwi Oversize in Starshipit

To enable Kiwi Oversize as a courier in New Zealand:

1. In Starshipit, go to **Settings** > **Couriers** > **Add a new courier**.
2. Select **New Zealand** as the shipping-from country, then select **Kiwi Oversize**.
3. Tick **Enable Kiwi Oversize**.
4. Enter your **Account number**, **Client ID**, and **Client secret**.
5. Click **Save**.

## Add product codes

Kiwi Oversize currently provides one product code option:

* oversize (Oversize)

This service is designed for large, heavy, or irregular freight that cannot be sent through standard courier networks.

1. Scroll to **Add product codes**.
2. Click **Add a new product code**.
3. Enter the **Code** and **Name** supplied by Kiwi Oversize.
4. If the product code should be your default, tick the **Default** checkbox.
5. Click **Save**.

## Label formats

You can configure label formats for outbound and return labels when using Kiwi Oversize.

* **NotSet** — no default format applied
* **FreThermal** — standard 4 x 6 thermal label format
* **A4** — A4 sheet format for printing multiple labels per page
* **FreThermal174x100** — 174 x 100 mm thermal format

To configure label formats:

1. Open the **Label formats** section on the **Settings** tab.
2. Select **Format for outbound labels** and **Format for return labels**.
3. Click **Save**.

## Configure advanced settings

If required, you can also update your Advanced Settings for Kiwi Oversize.

The available Advanced Settings are:

* **Signature Required** defaults orders to signature-required delivery.
* **Saturday Delivery** defaults orders to Saturday delivery.
* **Send Notifications** enables notifications by default. The default state is determined by your settings.
* **Notification Type** selects the notification type when **Send Notifications** is enabled.
* **Mixed Packaging** enables mixed packaging for shipments where supported.

Click **Save** after changing advanced settings.

## Validate or cancel a shipment

Open the **Tools** tab to:

* Select **Test to ensure it works** to validate the saved Kiwi Oversize account credentials.
* Enter a tracking number under **Cancel a shipment** and select **Cancel shipment** to request cancellation.

## Verify the connection

Create a test domestic shipment, select the `oversize` product code, and confirm that a label is generated in the selected outbound format.

## Troubleshooting

If rates or labels are not returned, check that your credentials are correct and that the product code is enabled on your Kiwi Oversize account. If the same Client ID and Client Secret are being used for more than four accounts, contact your Kiwi Oversize account manager for help.
