Barcode scanners and device support

Starshipit supports barcode scanning on both desktop and mobile devices.

Desktop: Starshipit supports any barcode scanner that acts as a keyboard input, including most USB and Bluetooth scanners. When you scan a barcode, the value is entered into the relevant field in the Starshipit web app. No setup is required beyond connecting the scanner to your device. We recommend using something similar to Zebra's LS2208 General Purpose Barcode Scanner.

Mobile: The Starshipit Pick & Pack mobile app supports two scanning options:

  • Built-in camera: Scan barcodes using your phone or tablet's camera.
  • Bluetooth scanner: Pair a Bluetooth scanner with your device to scan barcodes through the mobile app.
