Import saved contact addresses from a CSV file into your Starshipit Address Book using custom column mapping. This imports contacts, not orders.

## Before you begin

:::important
- The CSV file does not support special characters such as Äô and ¬†.
- Ensure the Street field contains a maximum of 50 characters for each listed address.
- All addresses must meet these requirements to import successfully.

## Import contacts

1. In Starshipit, select **Address Book** from the dashboard.
2. Select **Import from CSV**.
3. Map each Starshipit field to the corresponding column in your CSV, or download the [CSV template](/uploads/articles/integrations/csv/import-contacts-into-starshipit-via-csv/image_10488172821263.png).

   You can map fields using the column number or the column heading. We recommend using column numbers.

4. Select **Select**, then choose the CSV file from your computer.
5. Select **Import**.

## Verify the import

Return to **Address Book** and confirm that the imported contacts appear with the expected names and addresses.
