## Import contacts

1. In Starshipit, navigate to **Address Book** from the dashboard.
2. Click **Import from CSV**.
3. Map the columns in Starshipit with the column of your CSV or download [this template file](/uploads/articles/integrations/csv/import-contacts-into-starshipit-via-csv/image_10488172821263.png).

   You can use either the column numbers or the name of the column in the header. We recommend using the column numbers.

4. After you have mapped your columns, click **Select** and choose the CSV file from your computer.
5. Click **Import**.

## CSV file limitations

:::important
- The CSV file does not support special characters such as Äô and ¬†.
- Ensure the Street field contains a maximum of 50 characters for each listed address.
- All addresses must meet these requirements to import successfully.
