> Follow the complete Starshipit workflow from bringing in an order through checking, printing, and manifesting it.

Follow the complete Starshipit shipping workflow to bring in an order, check its details, select a courier service, print its label, and manifest it for handover.

## Before you begin

Make sure you have:

- Set your pickup address.
- [Connected a courier](/categories/couriers).
- [Connected your sales channel or business system](/categories/integrations), or prepared another way to bring orders into Starshipit.
- [Set up the Desktop Print Application](/articles/360000693156-set-up-desktop-print-application) if you are printing labels directly.

## 1. Bring in the order

Orders can import automatically from a connected system, or you can import them manually.

<!-- tabs:start -->

<!-- tab:Classic UI -->

1. Open **Orders**.
2. Click **Import**.
3. Select **Import Orders** to import from an integration, or **Upload** to import a CSV file.
4. Select the integration and date range when prompted.
5. Confirm the imported order appears under **New**.

<!-- tab:UI 2.0 -->

1. Open **Orders**.
2. Open **Import orders**.
3. Select **From integration** or **From CSV**.
4. Complete the import options, then confirm the import.
5. Confirm the imported order appears under **New**.

<!-- tabs:end -->

For automatic-import settings and detailed options, see [Import orders](/articles/206705193-import-orders).

## 2. Check the order

Review the receiver address, items, package, weight, and delivery instructions before purchasing a label.

<!-- tabs:start -->

<!-- tab:Classic UI -->

1. Enable **Invalid only** to find orders with invalid addresses.
2. Click **Auto Correct** and review the suggested changes.
3. Click **Save** when the address is correct.
4. Open the order to review its items, package, weight, and instructions.

<!-- tab:UI 2.0 -->

1. Open **More actions**, then select **Check addresses**.
2. Select the invalid orders you want to correct.
3. Click **Update** and review the suggested changes.
4. Open the order to review its items, package, weight, and instructions.

<!-- tabs:end -->

See [Validate shipping addresses](/articles/215482503-validate-shipping-addresses) when an address needs individual correction.

## 3. Choose a service and print the label

<!-- tabs:start -->

<!-- tab:Classic UI -->

1. Open the order from **Orders > New**.
2. Review the package weight and dimensions.
3. Select the courier and service.
4. Review the quoted cost where available.
5. Click **Print Labels**.

<!-- tab:UI 2.0 -->

1. Open the order from **Orders > New**.
2. Review the package weight and dimensions.
3. Under **Carrier and product**, select the courier service you want to use.
4. Review the quoted cost where available.
5. Save any changes, then use the print action to generate the shipping label.

<!-- tabs:end -->

Printing creates the tracking number and moves the order to **Printed**. See [Get a carrier quote](/articles/8306039132943-get-a-carrier-quote) when you need to compare options first.

## 4. Manifest the shipment

Not every courier requires a manifest. Check [Manifesting FAQs](/articles/360001997955-manifesting-faqs) if you are unsure.

<!-- tabs:start -->

<!-- tab:Classic UI -->

1. Open **Orders > Printed**.
2. Select the orders you are handing over.
3. Click **Manifest**, then confirm the dispatch.
4. Download the manifest report if your driver or drop-off point requires it.

<!-- tab:UI 2.0 -->

1. Open **Orders > Printed**.
2. Select the orders you are handing over.
3. Open the bulk actions and select **Manifest orders**, or click **Manifest all**.
4. Confirm the manifest.
5. Download the manifest report if your driver or drop-off point requires it.

<!-- tabs:end -->

The shipment is ready for courier pickup or drop-off when the required manifest has been successfully submitted.
