Yes, Parxl exclusively supports international shipping.

**Does Parxl support multi-package shipments?**

No, Parxl only supports single-package shipments at this time.

**How can I get a commercial invoice?**

Parxl does not return a commercial invoice with the label. Any necessary documentation for export/import customs clearance will be generated by the Parxl system if needed and shared with the relevant partners, such as customs broker agents.

**Does Parxl support pickups?**

Yes, Parxl supports pickups. A separate pickup request is not needed, as all shipments are created with pickup required by default.

**What service options are supported via Starshipit?**

Parxl offers service options including "postal," "self-collect," and "standard." However, all Starshipit shipments default to the "standard" option.

**Are Starshipit shipments created as DDU or DDP?**

Starshipit supports both DDP and DDU with ParXL. Learn more here: [Configuring your shipment's DDP/DDU](/articles/international-shipping-compliance/customs-duties/configuring-your-shipment-s-ddp-ddu)

## Set a default duties option

By default, Parxl shipments are sent as DDU unless an order or rule sets DDP. If you want new Parxl orders to default to DDP, enable the courier setting:

1. Go to **Settings > Couriers > Parxl**.
2. Tick **Duties and taxes paid by sender (default)**.
3. Click **Save**.
4. Create or open a new Parxl order and confirm **Duties & Taxes Paid** is selected before you print the label.

An explicit duties choice on an order or from a rule takes priority over this default. Only enable DDP when your Parxl service and destination support it.

## Configure Parxl settings

| Setting | What it does |
| --- | --- |
| Enable Parxl | Makes Parxl available for shipment creation. |
| Merchant Name | Identifies your Parxl merchant account. |
| Secret Key | Authenticates requests to Parxl. |
| Use Staging URL | Uses the Parxl test endpoint. Keep this off for live shipments. |
| Duties and taxes paid by sender (default) | Sets new Parxl orders to DDP by default. An order or rule can override it. |
